What can I do?
The first thing I would recommend is to leave your arm to rest for a few days, sometimes if you overuse your arm it may become sore and may just really need a rest. If after a few days the pain consists look out for the following symptoms:
- Pain in the elbow region
- Pain when shaking someone’s hand
- Pain when twisting a door knob
- Swelling and inflammation
- Stiffness in the elbow joint
- Trouble moving your arm
If you experience any of these you will probably have tennis elbow.
What about the doctor?
You can go and see the doctor if you want, in fact it is something I would recommend you do just to make sure your injury isn’t more serious than it is perceived. However, the doctor will give you medication such as anti-inflammatory medication which will just mask your injury as you progress to make it worse to the stage where even picking up a bag can cause severe pain.
